**Team Leader - Operations**

Kent Line Ltd is a well-established Canadian based agency that provides customers with Marine Transportation Service solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of their clients. We provide agency & warehousing services to a wide range of customers in Atlantic Canada. Kent Line has been a proud member of the Irving Group of Companies for more than 65 years. **The Key Focus** of the role is to lead and motivate a small team while coordinating all marine operations, and administrative functions associated with individual vessel calls to assigned Port of Operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Drive a safety-first culture.
- Key player in delivering short term and long-term operational strategies to accelerate business growth.
- Coach, train, develop and lead staff.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement.
- Assist with billing procedures, follow-up, and completion of requests
- Procure operation, agency, and administrative services for assigned marine vessels
- Exercise high quality vendor service management and cost control

**Qualifications**:

- University Degree or equivalency.
- 2-3 years of relevant leadership experience
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, which includes evenings, weekends and other as required.
- Previous experience in the marine agency field would be considered an asset
