**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that promote children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Supervise and mentor staff members to ensure high-quality caregiving and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain compliance with licensing requirements for child care facilities.
- Foster positive relationships with families by providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Create an inclusive environment that supports children with disabilities and ensures all children feel valued and respected.
- Manage classroom activities, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and tailored to the diverse needs of children.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adjust programs accordingly.
- Collaborate with community resources to enhance program offerings and support family needs.

**Skills**
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience working with children in various settings, including caregiving roles.
- Ability to educate staff on best practices in child development and classroom management.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with parents, staff, and community partners.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment for children with disabilities.
- Ability to foster a positive team atmosphere that encourages collaboration among staff members.

qualifications:

- Bachelor degree in early childhood education or early child hood development diploma with 2 or 3 years of management experience
- First aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
- A Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (PIC-VS)
- Food Safety Certificate

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
