**DISTRIBUTION CENTRE - Student Term Night Shift and Afternoon Shift**

**HOURS: Night**
**Shift - 11pm-7pm Sunday through Friday Morning**

**Afternoon Shift - 3pm-11pm Monday to Friday**

Home Hardware is hiring for Summer Students to join the team as Material Handlers. In this role you will be responsible to the
**Shift Foreman** for helping to maintain service levels to Home Hardware Dealers.

**What You'll Do**:

- As a Term Material Handler, you are responsible for handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials throughout all areas of the Distribution Centre by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment.
- Operate material handling equipment and comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

**What We're Looking For**:

- Ability to perform strenuous physical activities including walking, standing, bending and lifting.
- Demonstrate high-quality accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent reading and number skills.
- A reliable team player with a great attitude.
- Must be willing to be trained on powered lift equipment.
- Good attendance and punctuality are important.
- Ability to work Public Holidays and Saturdays when required.

A significant output of physical effort is required through lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, etc. The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without difficulty on a consistent basis is needed.
