**PURPOSE and SCOPE**

Create and improve company values streams and process maps to better serve MacDon’s internal and external customers

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Participate in the development, execution and assessment of the company's Lean Strategy.
- Create and improve Value Streams and Process Maps to better serve the internal and external customers.
- Work with Company Executives and Departmental Managers to plan, facilitate and manage larger scope cross-functional improvement projects.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to key problem solvers and improvement project leaders across all company departments during the planning and execution of improvement events.
- Analyze company's transactional processes and identify the cause of problems using problem-solving methodologies. Develop solutions to problems.
- Significant contributor to the Lean Methodology, CI Methodology, Problem Solving, Kaizen Tool Kit and related improvement tools applied by MacDon.
- Prepare reports, training and other developmental materials with an emphasis on training and development of understanding within the organization.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- Proven project management experience supported by formalized training.
- Superb facilitation skills.
- Minimum green belt level, black belt desired
- Post-secondary education in commerce or engineering.
- A minimum of five years of continual improvement experience with proven results.
- Experience facilitating Executives and senior leaders on corporate-level lean initiatives and strategy.
- Demonstrated history of achieving lean transformation through value stream mapping, process mapping, 5-S, Kaizen, continual improvement programs, and visual factory elements.

**Skills and Knowledge**
- Excellent communication skills, equally comfortable working on the factory and in the boardroom.
- Proven coaching and mentoring approach to improvement.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint) experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to do statistical analysis and reports.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Occasional travel may be required. Must hold valid passport with the ability to travel.
