The **Large Manual Lathe and Horizontal Boring Milling Machinist** reporting to the machine shop supervisor will be responsible for the following.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Set up the machine/lathe by using proper tools and use most efficient techniques
- Work on a large manual lathe (bigger than 35”OD) approximately 80% of the time
- Work on a Horizontal Boring Milling Machine approximately 20% of the time
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and safe of hazards
- Maximize efficiencies of production
- Keep machine in good working order through schedule preventative maintenance
- Understand the principles of ISO
- Protect self and others by following the Company Health and Safety Policies and Practices
- Other functions that may be assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**

General Machinist Ticket preferred

Min. 5 year experience with manual engine lathe

Technical/Mechanical troubleshooting skills

Blueprint reading and familiar with GDT

Must be able to work shiftwork

**Requirements**:

- Large lathe, horizontal boring mill experience
- Knowledge level of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Hands-on experience on working and re-building vacuum and glycol pumps
- Must be familiar with Lockout and tag outs procedures
- Able to maintain facility air compressors
- Experience with chemical process machines an asset
