ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

**Position Summary**
Prepare product for shipment according to product guidelines and customer requirements, including cleaning, inspecting, assembling, decorating and stacking.

**Key Duties And Responsibilities**
- Work in a safe and efficient manner, follow all safety guidelines and use all personal protective and safety equipment.
- Capable of reading and understanding all product related documents such as product guidelines, quality alerts, safety alerts, standard work documents, customer option sheets and quality objectives.
- Maintain a continuous repeat cycle of machine production/packaging to avoid build-up of parts at the workstation.
- Ensure parts produced are checked, trimmed, assembled and examined for “good quality” before stacking parts.
- Frequently check and compare current product to quality standards and First Piece Sample.
- Ensure that only current products, packaging and labels are present at workstations.
- Stack/pack all conforming parts according to customer requirements.
- Report all non-conforming products to your supervisor or designate.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, follow 5S, participate in Continuous Improvement activities and sustain Standard Work requirements.
- Report all unsafe conditions to your supervisor or designate.
- Perform operations with minimum supervision.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

**Education Required**
High School Diploma or Equivalent

**Education Desired**
High School Diploma or Equivalent

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

**Work Experience Required**
- Some experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- 1-3 years experience in plastics manufacturing required.

**Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired**
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
- Knowledge of health and safety (identify unsafe conditions).
- Trained in W.H.I.M.S.
- Basic Mathematical Aptitude.
- Ability to operate hand tools.
- Capable of explaining Quality Policy.
- Previous experience in plastics would be an asset.
