**Job description-Shop Foreman**

Vision Truck Group, Canada’s largest Mack dealer is currently seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to help lead our Stoney Creek dealership.

We are seeking an energetic, customer focused, self-starter who can provide steadfast leadership, responsible for all operations and actions of the Stoney Creek Service Department, reporting to the Service Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage 15-20 technicians/apprentice to ensure the workflow of 50+ repair events get completed.
- Assign the correct work to technicians based on experience level and ability
- Oversee and direct technicians and apprentices based on OEM best practices
- Work with Service Advisor to prioritize work communicate the repair process to customers throughout repair event.
- Prepare repair estimates, and communicate to customers for authorizations
- Review and audit repair orders for completion and quality
- Work with Service Manager to implement and execute short, medium, and long-term goals
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness

**Health and Safety**:

- Maintain good housekeeping standards with the facility through job delegation
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, rules and regulations by all employees under their supervision as required by the company and legislation
- Ensure all PPE is worn as per company policy
- Respond to any workplace hazards identified by the JHSC
- Investigate incidents that result in employee injury or property damage
- Ensure correct handling and storage of all products in the shop
- Respond to and correct unsafe and/or improper behaviors

**Job Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 1 year experience in leadership / supervisor role
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive or truck and coach
- 310T/310S license an asset
