- Entry level**Intended job posting audience**JOB SUMMARY**
SJFC utilizes land-based camps, workshops, rural outreach and one-on-one coaching to assist Indigenous individuals and families return to their heritage for holistic health and well-being; your main contributions as a Program Support would be to assist coordinators implement these activities, with the intention to improve the social, cultural, education, and health of our Yukon First Nation communities.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Provide ongoing support to SJFC coordinators
- Support the scheduling, coordinating & facilitation of workshops & information sessions
- Some coordinating, supervising & scheduling of participants, facilitators, Elders & volunteers
- Evaluation of program content/delivery & data compilation - identifying problems, solutions & improvements to increase effectiveness for target groups
**Job Specific Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required**:
- Previous experience facilitating groups & knowledge of group dynamics is appreciated
- Familiar with local youth and family supports, making referrals as needed
- Training opportunities will be provided annually
**Requirements of All SJFC Employees**:
- General knowledge of office etiquette, procedures & structure, including proficient working knowledge of _MS Office_ (Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams), _internet navigation/research & overall digital confidence_
- Yukon First Nations & Cross-Cultural awareness, demonstrating compassion, empathy & healthy attitude toward trauma, substance abuse & addictions
- Experience with an Indigenous Non-Profit organization is an asset, in addition to familiarity with the National Association of Friendship Centers (NAFC) & the services required by Urban Indigenous populations
- Criminal Records Check (with Vulnerability Sector)
