**The Role**: Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator will be assisting the Project Manager in the administration of project cost and scheduling systems. The individual fulfilling this role will ensure the smooth flow of information between the design team, consultants, contractors, and all other parties involved in the construction of a project.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Provide shop drawings analysis before review by the professionals for conformity with the plans
- Review of shop drawings compatibility with other elements/ trades
- Understand technical information on plans such as basic MEP systems, single line diagrams, the location of systems and primary equipment
- Provide price analysis of directives, including some estimating skills
- Coordinate and resolve of site conflicts (arch/ MEP)
- Identify potential issues on site during walk-throughs
- Provide overview of site advancement to meet target dates
- Coordinate of MEP commissionning/ start up
- Provide meeting minutes for MEP and Comissioning
- Problem-solve in MEP meetings
- Review of subtrades' time sheets
- Generate RFIs necessary for the completion of the work and identify missing information to execute the work
- Provide an overview of the deficiencies' process and team
- Mentor junior coordinators
- Determine if an extra should be refused based on contract scope, design intent, and industry standards
- Provide scheduling details in predecessors in MS Project
- Provide quote analysis
- Create scopes of work and adendas
- Create of step 1 and step 2 (advanced leveling sheet)
- Make unaided and independent analysis, scope gap completion, and reccomendation to PM on award of small tenders (eg lockers, fireplaces, garage doors, etc)
- Possess the ability to describe Reliance's position to a trade, professioal, or client, accept or disagree with an idea in principle, or and be able to explain why
- Possess the ability to explain the sequence of tasks, and it must occur this way (eg schedule predecessors)

**What You’ll Need**:

- Degree in Architecture, an Engineering or Scientific discipline, or specialized courses in Construction Management or equivalent experience and training (Project Management certificate considered an asset)
- Technical knowledge of a specialized engineering discipline, cost scheduling and/or contract administration related to the construction of heavy industrial or commercial complexes
- Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved including current knowledge of new methods of design and construction
- Three (3) years of work experience as a Project Coordinator, including supervision, preferably in project and staff design engineering or architectural design but may include other relevant types of engineering including start-up and field engineering
- Ability to determine the priority of assignments based on critical deadlines
- Ability to resolve field-initiated issues by consulting with the design team, subcontractors, and vendors to satisfactorily answer all questions
- Written and oral communication skills
- Must possess computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (experience with project management software an asset)
