**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager of Waste Management & Landfill Operations, this role is responsible for providing administrative support to the Waste Management Landfill Operations team.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Monitor, coordinate, and assist with preparing the Waste Operations and Capital budget through various reports in SAP.
- Process invoices, payment certificates, data collection, and reconcile monthly financial activities for Waste Operations.
- Analyze quarterly and year-end variance report documentation and investigate variances.
- Coordinate/review contracts and monitor financial expenditures to ensure financial and contract goals are met.
- Provide accurate information on Waste Management initiatives and all related data to ensure appropriate customer service is provided to all internal and external clients.
- Monitor and administer health and safety training requirements for Waste Operations.
- Coordinate HWMS communication requirements and liaison with staff from various departments
- Provide front reception support and customer service to the general public, site users and contractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Degree/Diploma in Business Administration with a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with budgets, financial analysis, and accounting procedures/policies.
- Knowledge of Waste Management systems and practices to ensure compliance of contract obligations.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and the Purchasing By-law is a requirement.
- Expertise in one or more financial, technical or business administration areas.
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Access for the purpose of data transfer and manipulation, invoice processing, data collection analysis, variance reporting and budgeting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with organizational and planning skills.
- In addition, the incumbent will have strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into information management.
