**TYCROP**is looking for a **Human Resources Co-Ordinator** to join our team on a temporary full-time basis to cover a maternity leave. This role helps to facilitate the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources Department including people-related services, policies, and programs. Reporting to our HR/OHS Manager you will collaborate will all departments and our team members daily to assist in ensuring our people are engaged and have every opportunity to develop lifetime careers.
**Recruitment**
- Maintain job posting (post, renew, revise, ensure consistency).
- Conduct basic phone screens.
- Schedule interviews.
- Check references.
- Maintain the recruitment database.
- Aid in career fair and community event planning and execution.
- Create new hire packages & employee manuals.
- Schedule orientations & conduct new employee orientations
**Other**
- Assist in the operation of training, development and performance programs.
- Liaise and assist with payroll.
- Assist with employee relations.
- Enroll new employees in benefits programs and make changes as necessary.
- Maintain appropriate records of all employee/supervisor/manager conversations
- Update HR metrics.
- Create reports on an ad hoc basis.
- Assist with offboarding activities, including conducting exit interviews and updating employee records accordingly.
- Conduct additional tasks as requested.
**Specific Skills required**:
- Knowledge of labour and employment legislation and government policies (e.g. Employment Standards, Labour Relations Code, Employment Equity and Human Rights) an asset.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- HRIS experience.
- Able to handle highly confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Better than average written and spoken communication skills.
- Active listening skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Very effective organizational skills.
- Stress and time management skills.
- Problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
**Training/ Certification**:
- Completion or a desire to complete an Applied Business Technology diploma or HR certificate.
**Education and Experience**:
- 2+ years’ experience in an office environment.
