Structural Steel Drafting Office Manager

**CADD Alta Drafting and Design** is a Premier Design, Drafting and Detailing Company which has been serving clients all across North America since 2005 and was started to provide experienced Structural Steel Detailing with the knowledge of the latest 3D computer modeling software. Combined our staff has over 100 plus years of experience.

**Job Summary**:
The office manager oversees the planning, coordination and control of detailing processes. They ensure that detailed drawings are produced efficiently and accurately while maintaining high client satisfaction. Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. The Detailing office manager also supports other company-wide functions which include estimating and scheduling.

**Essential Functions / Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing office production processes, developing and maintaining the office production schedule.
- Leading assigning and evaluating the activities and operations of project teams with a focus on performance, development, and high morale.
- Ensure proper project kick-offs including start up meetings, scheduling, budgets, and staffing allocations.
- Reviewing project delivery plans; approving project objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, milestones, and deliverables. This includes keeping an up to date working knowledge of all projects in the office.
- Monitoring project productivity and delivery plans.
- Through biweekly meetings, share successes, highlight lessons learned, introduce and communicate new tools.
- Coordinate and liaise with fabricators EORs, AORs, and Connection Engineers as project requirements necessitate.
- Demonstrate your commitments to high professional and ethical standards in a diverse workplace.
- Work with project managers to review and approve monthly client invoicing.
- Monitor practices to ensure that all drawings are checked for conformity with client and CADD Alta specifications and standards.
- Always provide leadership to team members — promoting a good working environment, led by example.
- Mediate and manage internal and external conflicts.
- Support project managers with constructability, scheduling, and customer relations.
- Promoting continuous improvement and contributing to company-wide policies standards and procedures, maintaining timely internal and external communications, and supporting other staff in increasing their knowledge of Tekla Structures software.
- Conduct project post mortems with management and operations team in order to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with HR on employee goal setting, development, and evaluations.

- At least 10 years’ experience in a Detailing role and progressive responsibility for planning execution and monitoring of major steel detailing projects.
- Three or more years’ office management experience.
- Proficiency in TEKLA Structures software and Blue Beam software.

Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
