Reporting to the Manager of File Administration, the File Administrator, Drug File Maintenance representative is responsible for providing support to Claims Administration by critically evaluating information from multiple sources. The File Administrator, Drug File Maintenance must ensure that all policies and procedures are followed in order to accurately meet ClaimSecure’s standard turnaround times.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Update prescription medications on a fixed schedule and on an ad hoc basis when manufacturer updates are received. This includes updating the generic price file
- Add new drugs to the system as per ClaimSecure’s standard. Update the coding of new drugs as per the recommendation from Clinical Services.
- Maintain provincial formulary classifications.
- Update ClaimSecure drug plans as per direction from Clinical Services
- Add and maintain pharmacies to the system as per ClaimSecure guidelines. This includes ensuring that contracts are stored as per ClaimSecure guidelines.
- File Maintenance - ensure that records are kept for all changes made to the drug coding and pharmacy stores.
- Evaluating and modifying drug files to ensure that information is uploaded as per the accurate coding of each medication.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support ClaimSecure.

**Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- Two years’ Pharmacy Technician experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven data entry skills
- Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet pre-determined standards
- Thorough knowledge of the department functions
- Ability to professionally interact with ClaimSecure staff members clients

**Salary**: From $37,050.00 per year
