GEMTEC is a growing consulting engineering firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario. We are looking for a motivated and skilled **Drafting Technician** to join our Team. We currently have an opening for a fulltime **Drafting Technician** in our **Halifax, NS** office.

**Educational & Experience Requirements**:

- College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology/ Technician or related field.
- Experience working with computer assisted drafting (CAD).
- Experience working with Civil 3D and REVIT is considered an asset.
- Experience working in civil construction is considered an asset.
- Experience working on both land and marine projects is considered an asset.

**Main Duties**:

- Becoming part of an engineering design team; primarily civil/geotechnical and structural engineering projects.
- Completing Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D on a variety of engineering projects, including land and marine infrastructure projects.
- Developing and maintaining company-wide CAD templates and standards.
- Providing quality assurance for CAD deliverables.
- Providing drafting support to other departments within GEMTEC.
- Travel to project sites for occasional site visits.
- Performing other duties, as required.

**Position**:

- Full time salaried position.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
