A **Warehouse Security Guard** is responsible for protecting the establishment and ensures all civilians are safe at all times. The incumbent will be the first-line representative to all staff, customers, and clients.

**Duties**:

- Responsible for the protection of property by maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, drivers and visitors.
- Maintain surveillance of surrounding area and report suspicious activity
- Respond to all issues and/or incidents as they occur. Ensure response procedures and notifications are in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist with the evacuation or movement of employees, drivers and visitors in emergency situations
- Maintain and develop a customer service oriented relationship with staff, drivers, contractors, labor, and members of the public
- Work various day and night shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Perform detailed and diligent patrols
- Observe and report daily activities and irregularities to appropriate personnel
- Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures are followed
- Draft reports

**Skills Required**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills while being alert and detail oriented
- Ability to exercise vigilance and multitask is required (Ability to prioritize, remain calm and multi-task under pressure in a dynamic environment)
- Ability to effectively generate all relevant shift reports and distribute in a timely manner
- Work various day and night shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English
- Must hold and maintain valid applicable Security Guard License and First Aid & CPR Certification
- Reliable commute as the site is not accessible by Transit
- Minimum of 6 months of security experience
- Warehouse/Industrial Security experience would be an asset
