**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Health & Counselling Services, the incumbent will work with Racialized students within our community. The incumbent will assess client’s psychological and emotional development; plan and implement therapeutic interventions; and participate in the ongoing evaluation of counselling service delivery. The incumbent is responsible to provide quality health care to the Carleton University community in accordance with the policies, goals and objectives of Health & Counselling Services.

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:

- Experience and knowledge of the impacts of racial trauma (including anti-black racism) on individuals and communities
- Relevant lived experience of racialization
- Understanding of systemic barriers faced by those from marginalized and underrepresented communities and its impacts
- Passionate about contributing to positive social change and commitment to anti
- oppression and anti-racism
- Demonstrated commitment to critical self-reflection, personal cultural awareness
- Ability to speak a different language is an asset

**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through the completion of**:

- Completion of a Master’s degree in a counselling field and/or Social work, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current valid registration as a registered Psychotherapist, or equivalent
- Five years working as a counsellor and/or psychotherapist, serving racialized communities. At least 2 years of experience in a college, university or other educational setting is preferred
