**About the Role**:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable **Park Ranger** to oversee the public parks, amenities, and open spaces in **West District**. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with the community, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety across our parks and shared spaces. The Park Ranger will serve as the on-the-ground ambassador of West District, ensuring the community remains a vibrant and well-maintained destination for all residents and visitors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Patrol park grounds, community spaces, and trails to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to community guidelines
- Collect and dispose of litter and debris across parks, sidewalks, and public areas
- Report any maintenance issues, vandalism, or hazards to the appropriate departments or service providers
- Conduct regular inspections of playgrounds, seating areas, signage, and landscaping to ensure all features meet safety and quality standards
- Monitor and restock park supplies such as dog waste bags, public signage, and informational materials
- Provide friendly assistance and directions to park visitors and promote responsible use of facilities
- Assist with the setup and takedown of community events, and support seasonal programming where required
- Maintain daily reports on inspections, maintenance requests, and general observations

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Physically capable of walking long distances and lifting light to moderate weight
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage positively with residents and community members
- Experience in landscaping, facility maintenance, or bylaw enforcement is considered an asset
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Available to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends depending on event schedules
