The Personal Support Worker is accountable to the company to provide excellent personal care to clients. Primary functions include providing care according to the established client care needs. The Personal Support Worker is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the core values of the company, ensure client safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Providing companionship and support care for client with disability challenges
- Accompanying client to medical appointments, physical activities and shopping in and around Port Perry, Toronto and Whitby
- Driving clients wheelchair-accessible van
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Medical reminder
- Proficiency in interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

**Qualifications**:

- Must have at least 2 years experience working with disability challenges
- Must have three (3) years of driving experience with a valid G Driver’s License. Be **able to provide a driver's abstract in good standing**.
- Must be able to operate and follow a GPS system.
- Preferably a non-smoker due to transporting individuals in the vulnerable sector with medical conditions impacted by scents
- Must be able to provide a current police check, including a vulnerable sector search.
- Have a valid PSW or Support Worker Certificate, as well CPR Certificate.

**Experience**:

- Care: 2 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- PSW Certificate or equivalent (required)
- CPR

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Personal Support Workers: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (preferred)
