**Schedule** : Monday - Friday: 9am - 4pm Saturday 9am - 2pm

Serving traditional Portuguese baked goods since 1991, Nova Era Bakery first opened its doors in Toronto’s Little Portugal community with a unique vision of providing customers with an experience that recreates the authentic feeling of a European café. Over the years, our family owned and operated business has grown through Southwestern Ontario, while maintaining the traditional methods of daily handcrafted-from-scratch, freshly baked goods. Our mission is to help continue see that the tastes and traditions of authentic Portuguese and European pastries, breads and coffees are shared locally in our communities.

**Job Summary**

Barista will provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction and an excellent overall guest experience.

**Job Duties**
- Prepare and serve hot beverages (coffee, latte, espresso, teas) using an industrial espresso machine
- Taking customer orders, preparing and delivering food/beverages in a timely fashion
- Handle POS/payment transactions in an efficient manner
- Cleaning and filling the pastry display cases
- Sanitizing/cleaning dishes
- Serving throughout the stations: sandwich, deli, pastry, bread
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Compliance with company Policies and Procedures
- Other related job duties as assigned

**Job Requirements**
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and keep a clean and organized work environment
- Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
- Some knowledge of the Portuguese language
- Previous experience in a bakery or coffee shop environment an asset
