Specialty Pharmacy Regulated Technician

**Charlton Health** is a **progressive specialty pharmacy** with a focus on the dispensing of **advanced therapies for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases**.
Our team consists of reimbursement specialists, pharmacy assistants and technicians, adjudication specialists, patient care coordinators, logistics specialists and pharmacists. We work closely with infusion clinic nurses and referring specialists. Paperless Kroll is our software system along with the EMR Accuro. We service patients across the province from our newly expanded facility in Hamilton. It is an exciting, dynamic and professional environment.
We are looking for an **experienced regulated pharmacy technician** who has experience with paperless Kroll. Work **experience in a specialty pharmacy dispensing biologics** and other **advanced therapies** is an asset. Work ethic, professionalism, punctuality, attention to detail and being a team player are vital to being successful in this roll. This position is completely on-site.
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Manage aspects required in order to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients prescribed **advanced therapeutic medications**:
- Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician offices and healthcare professionals in order to maximize reimbursement solutions;
- Coordinate documents, submissions and all related paperwork to insurance companies and provincial funding programs
- Coordinate pharmacy processes required once funding has been obtained;
- Maintain in depth knowledge of public / private provincial funding.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with physicians' offices
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Demonstrated commitment to improve patient care;
- Able to work independently and within a team;
- Excellent written/verbal communication providing clear instructions;
- Excellent **multitasking, organizational and time management skills**, including attention to detail and ability to set priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently;
- Knowledge of pharmacy dispensing software (**Kroll**) is preferred
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
