Under the responsibility of the head of the quality department, the first parts inspector will be responsible for the inspection and approval of the first parts machined before the start of production.

**Job definition**:
**Duties and responsibilities**
- Visually inspect first parts—Approval of all initial parts machined by operators/machinist;
- Perform final inspection of complex parts;
- Measure the parts with manual instruments (Vernier and micrometer) and ensure all dimensions meet the requirements of the operation sheets and/ or Engineering drawings;
- Create CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso or Mitutoyo Geopack software;
- Operate and program the CMM: open, edit and run the CMM program;
- Ensure that all quality registers (MPS, final inspection report and NCR when required) are completed and signed;
- Detailed dimensional inspection of First part produced on the machine to ensure 100% compliance to the requirements,
- Complete NCR form;
- Generate yellow tags;
- Analyze and understand the causes of non-conformities;
- Prepare customers non-conformities report;
- Ensure that inspection tools and work station are properly maintained;
- Any other task required by management.

**Technical requirements**:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role

Experience working with a CMM (Mitutoyo and Zeiss)

Calypso training

Bilingual (English / French)

**Experience required**: Minimum 2 years

**Education level**: Diploma in machining techniques or any other training paired with relevant experience;
