Shift Vacancies:
**Office Hours**:7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

**Key Tasks**

This is a key role in ensuring our product realization flow, ensuring a high level of accuracy as well as overseeing pricing and best value options for quotes as needed.
- Obtain quotes from vendors
- Coordinate international and domestic freight to ensure on-time delivery of the incoming shipments as requested by the demand planning
- Procure services or raw materials according to specs and miscellaneous items for other departments as required.
- Negotiate best price and best value for service & purchased products.
- Negotiate and plan staggered shipments
- Support cost reduction activities.
- Track and troubleshoot orders with subcontractors
- Add and review freight and rush charges to purchase orders
- Issue and maintain supplier quality notifications (SQN) and records
- Utilize Norquest inventory as much as possible.
- Correct discrepancies between purchase orders and vendor invoices
- Process and document returned items as required
- Take direction from the Procurement Manager
- Work closely with Sales and Order Management Assistants
- Communicate with Shipper/Dispatcher, Material Handlers, Receiving, Sales, Coordinators, Workflow, and Scheduling, Plant Manager.
- Comply with all Norquest policies and procedures
- Comply with all HSE, QMS and Corporate policies at Norquest.
- Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
- Review and screen Mill Test Reports according to specifications.
- Maintain records of certificate of conformance documentation

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience purchasing in a manufacturing environment
- Industry certification such as SCMP is an asset but not required
- Practical experience working in ERP or other business planning systems.
- Proficiency in current office software (MS, Excel)
- Basic procurement experience in raw materials, sub-contract services and other components
- Basic knowledge of Supply Chain and Accounting processes
- Excellent critical thinking ability, attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills for varying degrees of urgency
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and teamwork oriented
- Excellent communication and people skills.
