**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Under the authority of the site manager, the Janitorial and Kitchen Assistant provides support in

the kitchen and ensures the cleaning of the common areas, hallways, and bedrooms.

**Responsibilities**

**Main responsibilities**

**Kitchen Aid**

  • Respect the hygiene and sanitary standards
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the workspace
  • Wash the large and small dishes
  • Wash fruits and vegetables
  • Cut and peel various fruits and vegetables
  • Ensure the filling of the distribution refrigerators
  • Cut meat

**Maintenance Aid**

  • Ensure the cleaning of common areas, corridors and bedrooms
  • Sweep the various floor surfaces (interior and exterior)
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms
  • Handle and use cleaning products

**Qualifications**

  • Minimum of 3 to 6 months of experience in a similar position
  • Bilingualism (French, English), an asset
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse work teams
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Have a good sense of organization

**Workplace and schedule**

  • Be able to work on a schedule of 14 working days followed by 14 days off
  • Work in remote areas (James-Bay)

**Physical requirement**

  • Physical work (long hours, standing)
  • Able to lift heavy loads

Schedule
