**A little about us**

Gabby’s was founded in 1989 by a local Toronto based family. We opened our first location in March of 1989, the whole family worked long hours to make things work. The concept was simply to create a cozy environment that was well suited to have great conversations, served quality freshly cooked meals and offered great draft beer and spirit selections. After more than three decades of fine-tuning, product development, and loads of hard work, we have what you see today.

Today, we are defined as a mainstream casual dining restaurant with an integrated sports bar area that caters to the community and local businesses. We provide friendly, attentive service in a relaxed environment and prepare everything fresh on site.

**The responsibilities of this position include**:

- To make drinks for Servers.
- To provide food and beverage service to all guests according to Gabby's standards.
- To be familiar with all food and beverage menus, specials and promotions, in order to assist the guest in their selection and promote the items.
- To provide service to our guests in an efficient, friendly and professional manner.
- To enter all food and beverage orders into point of sale system.
- To adhere to local liquor and health, safety and fire procedures and laws.
- To make recommendations for improvement to either product or service in the establishment.
- To respond to guest concerns and solicit guest feedback.
- Other duties as assigned by Management or Operators
- At least one year bartending experience in a fast-paced full-service Restaurant
- Smart Serve Certification required
- Knowledge of Volante preferred
- Knowledge of wines, beer and spirits a strong is a must.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed guest expectations.
- Personable, organized, and able to prioritize.
- Must thrive in a team environment.
- Have a good knowledge of the tourism and hospitality offerings in Toronto.
- Must have open availability to work weekends plus 2 weekdays and holidays. Bartenders opening shift starts at 10am and closing shift ends past 2am.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour
