Christie Gardens is looking for an experienced Kitchen Helper who believes in providing the highest quality of food and service. The base schedule for this position is 8am-4pm, four shifts bi-weekly including every second weekend.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Food Handlers Certificate
- Three or more years of related work experience
- Able to communicate in English, both verbal and written

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation of food and support Cooks in the production of food
- Prepare food in accordance with current applicable Health and safety standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided
- Follow recipes and/or product directions
- Prepare food by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients
- Wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
- Trim and cut meat, poultry or fish
- Some cooking responsibilities
- Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production and keep records in order to plan production requirements, supplies and equipment
- Produce small to large batch goods using advanced and classical cooking techniques

**Schedule**: 8am-4pm, four shifts (30 hours) bi-weekly including every second weekend

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
