**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Determine appropriate shipping method utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates
- Verify information on bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records by counting, weighing, or measuring items for both incoming and outgoing shipments
- Affix shipping labels or stencils identifying information on packed cartons, including weight and shipping charges
- Insert items into containers using fillers, protective padding and spacers
- Bind containers with metal tape, using strapping machine and nail covers on wooden crates.
- Unload and examine incoming shipments; record shortages and put aside damaged items; correct damage and shortages with shipper
- Guide others in receiving incoming shipments and in preparing outgoing orders
- Maintain inventory of shipping material and supplies
- Organize, display stock attractively
- Parts deliveries
- Maintain general housekeeping in Parts Department
- Transport parts orders to technicians
- Maintains customer and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
- Performs other duties as required by the Parts Manager to ensure the successful operation of the dealership.
- Complies with company and department policies, procedures and standards.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Basic recognition of automotive parts
- Strong organizational and mathematical abilities
- Able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Ability to lift objects up to 40 lbs.
- Good concentration with maintaining inventory and selecting required parts
- Manual dexterity for typing / keyboarding.
- Computer literate

**Salary**: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
