**THE OPPORTUNITY - HOUSING SERVICES PRACTITIONER**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Facilitate and support consumers
- Use a person-centered approach to assist and support consumers to achieve their housing goals:

- Support consumers to develop daily living skills.
- Administer medications accurately and on time
- Establish a professional relationship with consumers including setting healthy boundaries between work relationships and support provided
- Promote the use of community resources, support community inclusion and consumers’ independence
- Understand and follow policies and procedures and confidentiality practices

**WHAT YOU BRING**

We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

- Degree or Diploma in Community Rehabilitation, Disability Studies, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Class 5 license with reliable vehicle [asset]
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of problem-solving and decision-making skills and ability to manage high
- stress and emergencies effectively
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
- Represent Vecova in a professional manner
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
