**Job Overview**

MTO contacting is a fast growing general contracting company. We specialize in landscaping, snow removal and painting. We service HRM and surrounding areas. MTO is known for reliable, quality service and are looking for someone to help grow our team.

We are seeking a reliable and adaptable **General Laborer** to assist with a variety of tasks at our general contracting company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a strong work ethic, and is comfortable performing a range of duties as needed. Tasks may vary depending on project needs and may include physical labor, material handling, site cleanup and basic construction assistance.

**Duties**
- Assist with various tasks as assigned by supervisors, contributing to the overall efficiency of operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Assist with on-site construction, renovation, or maintenance tasks
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Perform general cleanup of work areas and job sites
- Support skilled tradespeople as directed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company procedures

**Requirements**:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments
- Punctual, dependable, and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
- Previous experience in Landscaping, Contracting, Snow Removal, Carpentry and Construction is an asset
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this position.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor.
- Must Be at least 18 years or older.
