Project Manager, Planning, and Infrastructure

**Position Status**

This is a Permanent Full-time position.

**Scope of the Position**

Overseeing real estate projects related to asset inventory, such as capital rehabilitation and replacement strategies, leading projects related to land development, and establishing multi-partner land-based strategies that achieve objectives. In addition, overseeing the planning, design, and construction of large-scale real estate projects that involve infrastructure. The role is also responsible for minor and major work tenders for construction/rehabilitation purposes and the development of project documents consistent with industry-wide project management standards.

**A.** **Duties, Responsibilities, Authority, and Accountabilities**
- Developing construction plans to meet project deadlines and budgets, including determining the type of equipment required for each task.
- Preparing cost estimates for materials needed for construction projects and ensuring that they meet industry standards.
- Managing all aspects of a project from beginning to end, including planning, scheduling, managing resources, and resolving issues that arise.
- Coordinating with architects and engineers to ensure that project designs meet legal requirements and meet client needs.
- Reviewing the plans, specifications, and cost estimates to make sure that they are accurate and complete.
- Working with subcontractors to ensure that they are completing their tasks in a timely manner.
- Overseeing construction crews to ensure that they are working safely and effectively.
- Coordinating with facility managers to ensure that work areas are safe and secure during construction.
- Communicating regularly with clients to inform them about the progress of their projects.
- Ensure accurate property records are properly maintained in the Real Estate department using corporate filing and property management systems.
- Establish and track key performance indicators for the department's infrastructure real estate functions. Planned, implement, and review staffing requirements, including determining clear position descriptions, accountabilities, and reporting arrangements to optimize service delivery.

**C.** **Reporting Responsibilities and Authorities from Supervisor**
- Reports to Vice President Real Estate & Development

**D.** **Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**
- Degree in real estate, business, or law and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience, at a management level.
- Strong negotiations skills, a solid background in residential and commercial real estate.
- Experience providing real estate services to infrastructure development projects and leasehold administration.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong team player with solid communication skills.
- High levels of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work independently within established guidelines and procedures and as a member of a team.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Strong multi-tasking and organization skills.
- Ability to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
- Strong people skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and senior management to maintain quality.
- Proficient in MS Office software (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Experience working with First Nations is an asset.

- Willing to work additional hours as required.

**Salary**: $87,997.00-$94,363.00 per year
