**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide culturally responsive counselling services rooted in Indigenous traditions, values, and holistic wellness models.
- Conduct assessments and create individualized care plans in collaboration with each client.
- Support clients navigating addiction, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and family or community disconnection.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment goals, and care coordination.
- Serve as an advocate for Indigenous clients and help bridge gaps between Western clinical models and Indigenous approaches to healing.
- Participate in community outreach and education, supporting awareness and access to culturally safe addiction treatment.
- Engage in professional development and cultural learning opportunities, including participation in ceremonies and teachings.

**Qualifications**
- Degree or diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Indigenous Studies, or a related field.
- Lived experience and/or demonstrated understanding of Indigenous cultures, history, and healing practices.
- Experience providing counseling or peer support in addiction or mental health settings.
- Knowledge of intergenerational trauma, residential school impacts, and systemic barriers affecting Indigenous Peoples.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse individuals and communities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff, Elders, and external service providers.
- Proficient in case management, documentation, and ethical practice.

**Assets**
- Knowledge of local Indigenous communities, services, and networks.
- Experience incorporating land-based healing or ceremonial practices into client care.
