**Job description**

**After School Educator**:

- Permanent, Part-time_

For over 30 years, **Wooden Hill Child Care Centre**has been dedicated to offering high-quality programs for young children and their families. We operate a full-day early learning and childcare centre at Notre Dame school, as well as Before and Afterschool programs at Notre Dame and St. Basil school.

**Location**:_Wooden Hill Child Care Centre, _
- Notre Dame school 885 25th St. E Owen Sound _
- St. Basil school 925 9th Ave W. Owen Sound _

**Total Weekly Hours**:_15-17 hours per week_
**Schedule**: _Monday to Friday 3 to 6:00pm _
- Pay rate: $19-24/hr_

Who We’re Looking For

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum **1-year experience** working directly with children or in a childcare setting.
- Diploma in **Early Childhood Education (ECE)** or equivalent (e.g., Child & Youth Worker, Child and Youth Care, OCT, Recreation & Leisure diploma) preferred.

**Certifications**:

- **Standard First Aid with CPR Level C (training provided)**
- **Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check**
- Proof of **up-to-date immunizations** (TB, Tetanus, MMR)

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Familiarity with **How Does Learning Happen?** (an asset)
- Strong understanding of **child development** and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to work **independently and in a team**.
- **Flexibility** and adaptability to changing circumstances.
