Port Coquitlam, Canada Hawthorne Seniors' Care Community Full time

**Position Summary**:
In keeping with the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Hawthorne Seniors Care Community, provides service to tenants/clients and assistance to other staff members of the Assisted Living Team & Adult Day Program to achieve desired tenant/client quality of life outcomes.

Reporting to the Director, Assisted Living & Adult Day Program and taking work direction from the Hospitality Team Leader and/or LPN Team Leader provides a wide range of hospitality services to the tenants/clients and assists staff in Assisted Living & Adult Day Program. Performs cleaning duties; transports supplies, food, equipment, linen, garbage, etc. in and out of tenant suites and common areas. Escorts tenants/clients as needed. Assists with food preparation/service, and personal laundry; and responds to tenant/client requests within pre-set guidelines.

**Starting Date**: February 14, 2025 (approximately)

**Hours of Work**:

- 9:00 - 16:30 Friday through Monday

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of an approved building service worker program
- Recent Food Safe certificate
- WHMIS
- First Aid certificate
- One year experience working with clients in an assisted living setting or in the hospitality industry
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to show respect for and to maintain the spirit, dignity, and individuality of the tenant/client.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain rapport with tenants/clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize own work.
- Physical ability to perform the work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week
