**About the role**
As our next Principal Consultant reporting to the Operational Excellence team, based in our Canadian office, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
**Job purpose**
A Principal Consultant self-sufficiently carries out technical assignments, acting as Project Manager where required, while managing and mitigating AMC’s exposure to risk, at the same time as using his / her extensive experience and industry contacts to proactively market AMC’s services.
- Operational and management experience in a mining environment.
- Knowledge of a broad range of operational improvement practices.
- Can project manage himself/herself, including communicating with clients, managing time and budgets, and producing reports.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and create client focused solutions.
- Practical experience in a range of business improvement methods such as lean six-sigma and theory of constraints.
- Good working knowledge of capital and operating cost estimation.

- Experience in and / or an inclination for business development.

**Qualifications and experience**
- Experience operating in a mining environment
- A degree in engineering with more than 10 years’ experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above.
