Reporting to, and working collaboratively with, the Senior Partner of Compensation, you will support and coordinate the various job evaluation programs and processes for unionized and non-unionized staff groups at the Board. This will include maintaining, and participating in, their administration as well as maintaining job evaluation tools and resources, job analysis questionnaires and other related documents. In consultation with the Senior Partner, you will also assist in analyzing the extent and impact of changes to existing jobs submitted for job evaluation review, relationships to other jobs and impact on job evaluation and internal equity. The Board will rely on you to review, and follow up with stakeholders on, requests for new or significantly changed positions, and job title changes, including recommending interim ratings and job descriptions for the Senior Partner of Compensation’s review and consideration.

Your specific duties as a **Job Evaluation & Compensation Analyst** will range from supporting quality improvement initiatives to streamline, automate and document job evaluation processes, to supporting job evaluation committees (e.g. prepare rationale sheets, record rating results, etc.), and drafting job descriptions for review upon completion of job evaluations. Your superb technical and analytical skills will be front and centre as you extract relevant data from both internal and external sources/systems to support compensation and job evaluation analysis, and play an invaluable support role by attending grievances, mediations, arbitrations and hearings/tribunals related to job evaluation and Pay Equity.

This position will require working a flexible work week during peak workload periods.

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**

With a post-secondary diploma/degree from a recognized university or college in Human Resources or business studies, or equivalent related education and directly related experience, you are well prepared for the role of **Job Evaluation & Compensation Analyst** with our Board. The following experience, knowledge and skill set will also drive your success in this analytical position:

- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in human resources focusing on job evaluation programs/processes and pay equity, or compensation-related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge in maintaining pay equity and utilizing a point factor evaluation system.
- Experience working with union and/or non-union joint committee job evaluation processes.
- Knowledge of interpreting and comprehending collective agreements, human resources practices and processes, pay equity legislation and other employment-related laws.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving, troubleshooting, technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities, meet timelines and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HRIS, SharePoint).
- Knowledge of relevant collective agreements and school board policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and anti-oppression, and to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment.

**ASSET**:

- A Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
