Effective immediately until March 13, 2026 with the possibility of extension
4.0 hours per day
Rate of Pay: As per CUPE Collective Agreement ($20.60)

Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Collective Agreement Local 3876.**Qualifications and Abilities**:

- Must have experience in food and menu preparation.
- Must be organized, neat/tidy and have clean work habits.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Must have knowledge of food and nutrition policy for Nova Scotia Public Schools.
- Must enjoy working with students.
- Must have a current Food Handling Certificate.
**Responsibilities**:

- Cashier, as required.
- Cooking, baking, and preparation of food.
- Keeping daily accounts and inventory control.
- Selling canteen items at recess and noon.
- Kitchen duties as required in coordination with the cafeteria team (stocking shelves, cleaning, dishes etc.)
- Support of the school recycling program.
- Substitute for Head Cafeteria Worker, as required.
- Qualified applicants from within CUPE Bargaining Unit Local 3876 will be considered first.
