**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook for our cafe and catering departments. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food service, ensuring that all meals are prepared and served with the highest standards of quality and safety. Your contributions will play a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests.

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards.
- Serve food to customers in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring that all orders are accurate.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes as needed.
- Handle food items safely and responsibly, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and customer service.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in cafe / restaurant or catering kitchen settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal presentation is essential.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for handling food is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for serving others and providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
