Child and Family Services Prevention Program Facilitator

Child and Family Services Prevention Program Facilitator delivers activities that are directed to all community members. Special emphasis is placed on including Cree cultural factors into programming as much as possible. The Program Facilitator works with local knowledge keepers and elders to organize and participate in culturally specific activities with youth and children to share and preserve way of life based on shared language, experience, and spirituality. These should be memorable, meaningful, and transformative experiences that encompass Cree perspectives, values and practices with programming that reconnects individuals and small groups to the culture.

As a respected Child and Family Services Prevention Program Facilitator you will honor the mission, vision and core values of the Health Policy and Procedure Manual.

**Responsibilities**:
Ø Assisting with setting up the Child and Family Services Prevention program within the community and capacity development for the community.

Ø Establish programming for all community members such as men’s night, women’s nights, parental classes, and youth directed nights.

Ø Assisting with development of Child wellness plans, establish home visit program, and counselling for parents and children.

Ø Provide programming for families in need.

Ø Understanding the policies and procedures relating to C-92 operations, compliances, and general program issues.

Ø Monitoring multiple mailboxes and responding timely to training, processing, and service requests

Ø Maintaining ongoing communication between the Child and Family Prevention Coordinator to communicate to Chief and Council.

Ø Creating and overseeing a transition timeline, ensuring a smooth transfer of the Child and Family Prevention program.

Ø Working in tandem with multiple departments to facilitate a successful transition.

Ø Other duties and projects as requested by Child and Family Prevention Coordinator.

Contract length: 3 months
