Reporting to the Chief of Mental Health and Addictions, the Psychiatrist is accountable to provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for inpatients and outpatients of St. Joseph's Care Group.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
Education/Experience:
- Licensed to practice medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and/or Registration as a Fellow in Psychiatry with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.
- Demonstrated experience working within interprofessional practice model
- Knowledge of applicable acts, regulations, legislation, programs and policies
Skills/Abilities:
- Superior ability to communicate effectively and concisely and to provide / explain relevant information in response to inquiries or issues at a level appropriate to the audience
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships or partnerships with a diverse range of individuals
- Ability to work independently and/or as a contributing member of an interprofessional team to consistently meet program goals and address client needs
- Ability to develop partnerships and facilitate discussion relating to assessment, treatment, intervention strategies
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to provide consultation and direction to medical students and residents, physician assistant students, and clinical staff; proven ability to share skills and knowledge with others
- Proven conflict management abilities and mediation skills
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
Conditions of Employment:
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory **Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)**where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
