**Summary of Position**
To support leading linen management practices and customer experience, Ecotex Healthcare Linen Service is currently seeking a Permanent, part-time Hospital based _**Linen Porter**_ for one of our Ontario customers. The position services two hospitals in the Halton Region.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
In support of effective on-site linen management, and to enable a safe, comfortable patient care environment, the Linen Porter will be responsible for the following key duties:
**Specific Scope of Services**
- Shifts: Weekdays, afternoon/evening 2:30pm-8:30pm.
- Receive and deliver clean linen carts to pre-identified areas for two Hospitals.
- Ensure neat and tidy combining of linens and staging of extra in linen room.
- Leadership of Return Linen Bag placement, exchange and return to the Ecotex Plant for processing.
- Staging of empty linen carts in Waste Management areas of Hospitals.
- Communication with Ecotex Account Manager and client site from time to time with respect to required linen adjustments or operational considerations.
- Must treat all staff, patients and visitors with courtesy, dignity, and respect.
**Required Skills and Knowledge**
- Working knowledge of hospital linen services would be an asset.
- Minimum of grade twelve (12) or equivalent.
- Ability to push and pull 100lbs.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal required.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, and the ability to work alone or as a part of a team.
- Demonstrated reliable attendance and punctuality is a must.
- Ability to exercise good judgement and sensitivity in dealing with hospital information.
- Ability to prioritize and successfully resolve issues with high sense of urgency and customer experience focus.
- Strong attention to detail and follow through.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between two sites in close proximity.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
