The Trico Centre is currently looking for **Learn to Skate Instructors** for our Learn to Skate program. These positions are responsible for running organized and fun Learn to Skate Programs for parent and tot, child/youth and preschool skate instruction. These roles require friendly and courteous individuals who are able to plan and delivery high quality skate instruction to participants in a professional manner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Delivers quality program planning and activities to participants
- Engages students in a fun and professional manner
- Provides excellent customer service and feedback
- Communicates effectively with participants appropriate to their level
- Ensures they are organized and prepared for each lesson
- Oversees participants in skating activities
- Liaises with parents on progress
- Provides a safe and fun learning environment for participants
- Documents and communicates facility and program information to customers
- Tracks progress of participants and provides feedback according to Trico Centre’s requirements
- Implements first aid procedures when required
- Shows a positive and professional attitude
- Attends required meetings
- Works cooperatively with all supervisors, staff and patrons

**Qualifications**:

- Must have previous experience instructing children 3 - 12 years of age learn to skate basics. Preference will be given to those applicants with NCCP level 1 certification
- Program delivery experience is essential
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Current Police Security Check with Vulnerable Sector Search within the last six months or less mandatory (required prior to first day of work)
- Able to work scheduled program times
- First Aid and CPR Certification (Current)
- Able to work a flexible schedule

- Organized and a strong attention to detail
