Brymark Installations Group Inc. (Brymark) is a multi-discipline industrial general contracting company with a primary focus on piping, structural and mechanical system installation for British Columbia's petrochemical, bulk material handling, power generation, mining, and pulp and paper industries. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team at Brymark as an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Manager. This role offers a great opportunity for career development and gaining valuable experience in a variety of assignments.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE procedures, programs, and policies
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and implement precautionary solutions
- Provide guidance on Occupational Health and Safety regulations to supervisors and managers
- Conduct incident investigations and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate safety orientations for new employees and ongoing safety training
- Manage workplace programs and coordinate return-to-work programs
- Organize safety committee meetings and conduct safety audits
- Prepare safety reports and statistics with proposed corrective actions
- Collaborate with other Carlson Group companies on HSE activities
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Professional safety designation or Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety/Environmental Science
- Minimum 5 years of safety and environmental regulatory experience in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, emergency response, hazardous material handling, and claims management
- Experience in developing and conducting safety training programs
- Strong communication, planning, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with high motivation and handle multiple projects with deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent computer skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
