We’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of both our Parksville office and warehouse operations, including the management of a small fleet of 5-tonne trucks.
**Position Overview**:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining operations in both the office and warehouse, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and timely deliveries. In addition to managing office staff, warehouse staff and delivery drivers, you will be responsible for the upkeep and performance of our small fleet of trucks. Your role will directly impact operational efficiency, service quality, and client satisfaction, all while maintaining high safety standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the daily operations in both the office and warehouse, ensuring seamless workflows and on-time deliveries.
- Oversee the management of a fleet of 5-tonne trucks, including scheduling, routing, and ensuring regular vehicle maintenance.
- Supervise, coach, and lead a team of office staff, warehouse staff and delivery drivers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement efficient systems for inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and minimizing delivery issues.
- Enforce strict health and safety standards across all operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for managing and ensuring the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the building's infrastructure and facilities.
- Monitor key operational metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to support the company’s strategic initiatives and long-term growth.
- Assist with recruitment, training, and ongoing staff development to meet operational goals.
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance, fleet management, and team productivity.
- Submit capital asset budget requests to the senior leadership team annually
- Ability to step into any role within the office or warehouse to assist when required.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in operations management or supervision, ideally in a distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and delivery systems.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a small fleet of vehicles, including scheduling and maintenance.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide employees.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator, both in writing and orally.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and proven experience in enforcing them.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with warehouse management software is an asset.
- Must be adaptable/flexible.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Forklift certification or related experience is a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
