Capstone is a project planning and delivery organization located in Nova Scotia, Ontario and Ecuador. Capstone Project Solutions is looking for a Project Manager to work from their Dartmouth, NS office with options to work from home and travel as required for client engagements. We extend these principles through our team member relationships and our client experiences. **Role Description**: The Project Manager (PM) will act as the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. To achieve these important goals, the PM will define project requirements and scope, acquire project resources, interface appropriately with various technical and business levels, and supervise the efforts of project team members. Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, the clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each project's lifecycle. **Your responsibilities will include**: Client focused engagement: - Scoping and planning project engagements - Detailing project schedules, dependencies and critical paths - Identifying resource requirements, assign tasks/activities, manage allocations and workload - Identifying and resolving issues, risks, change requests, and project related questions. - Assessing impacts of issues and risks on project schedules; proactively identify opportunities for efficiency, cost management and schedule control. - Establishing, implementing, and following a formal project change process; assess the impact, effectiveness and feasibility of proposed changes (review options and proposals, often developed by others); make decisions and/or authoritative recommendations regarding feasibility and implementation of changes. - Managing, monitoring, and reporting project progress including schedule, functionality, quality, and cost (comparisons to budgets and forecasts) while reporting Project Status weekly or bi-weekly to the client stakeholders and executive team Capstone Team Commitments: - Ensure deliverables are of high quality and meet client requirements - Provide leadership, guidance and feedback to teams and colleagues - Attend and contribute to internal team meetings to discuss progress, opportunities, value-add services and continuous relationship building - Contribute your knowledge and experience in response to RFP submissions - Maintain Capstone culture of respect, equality and accessibility - we are one united team. **Required Skills**: - 3+ years of direct work experience in Project Management delivering projects of varying complexities and types (g. business transformation, IT solution implementations, etc.) - Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with ability to build and maintain relationships across organizational levels and departments - Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management principles and methodologies - Persuasive and motivating, with a strong focus on managing and supporting clients - Excellent communication, reporting and performance management skills - History of successful project planning and delivery despite challenges and threats to success - MS Project software experience **Preferred Skills**: - Emergency Services industry experience is considered a strong asset - Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation - com solution experience - Procurement experience (writing RFI's and RFP's, writing submission responses For more information contact Jamie Grant, Partner at 902-420-1809 or Brooke Ireland, Senior Consultant at 902-421-1214 - To learn more about Meridia Recruitment Solutions, our job opportunities, and career advice we invite you to explore our site and subscribe for career alerts._
