**Victim Services Crisis Worker**:
**Casual/On-Call**
Are you looking for a rewarding position providing immediate support to those who have been impacted by crime, serious accidents or traumatic events? Are you passionate about helping individuals who have experienced trauma and do you work well under pressure in stressful circumstances? If you have a genuine desire to support victims and are skilled at working collaboratively with community partners, this might be the position for you The Victim Services Crisis Worker is responsible for responding to police call-outs and providing direct support services to victims, family members and witnesses in the immediate aftermath of crime or trauma.
**_What we’re looking for:_**
- Coursework in the field of social sciences including sociology, psychology, criminology or a related field
- Experience working in a police environment or victim services program is considered an asset
- Comfortable navigating through uneven terrain and/or sitting for extended periods of time
- Ability to obtain and maintain an enhanced RCMP security clearance
- 20-minute driving proximity to the Squamish RCMP detachment while on shift
- Ability to work overnight and on weekends
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
