**Cafe Server / Barista**

**Overview**
We are seeking a Cafe Server / Barista to join our team. We are a cafe in an office building offering refreshments, great coffee, light meals and snacks to our regular client group.

As a server, you will welcome our customers, take orders, prepare coffee, serve light snacks, and use the POS system. We require someone with experience making specialty coffees such as, espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc. The Server / Barista will help to create a welcoming atmosphere, and provide excellent customer service, with a focus on cleanliness and an eye for detail.

**Responsibilities**

Welcome guests and take orders at the POS system

Handle the payment transaction and make appropriate change if necessary

Prepare and serve hot drinks like coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and speciality coffees such as espresso, latte, and cappuccino.

Help the Chef to serve the snacks, light meals, soups, salads, grab and go items, etc.

Maintain the cleanliness of the cafe tables, counter area, and general workspace.

Assist with stocking the beverage fridges, and help to maintain inventory levels.

Help as needed with general maintenance duties like sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and cleaning.

Make suggestions about products and service based on customer feedback, trends, and experience.

Build and maintain positive interactions with our regular office client group and other Cafe team members.

**Experience**

Some experience in food and beverage service is required.

Some customer service experience is required.

Some experience or familiarity with specialty coffees such as espresso, latte and cappuccino is required.

Experience using POS system, card readers and cash drawer is required.

Some basic experience in light food prep is advantageous.

Most importantly, a great attitude and team player that enjoys spending time in the cafe with great coffee and good food.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
