BabyBean Play Cafe is looking to hire someone to help cook and bake in the kitchen and help out at the front barista counter during the week Must be comfortable around littles and have the ability to work alone during slower times.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and guidelines
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify the supervisor when items need to be restocked
- Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment after each use
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding food safety, sanitation, and hygiene

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team

**Skills**:

- Food safety: Understanding of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Food service: Knowledge of customer service principles and ability to provide excellent service to guests
- Food industry: Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Kitchen: Ability to work in a kitchen environment, following recipes and instructions
- Cook: Basic cooking skills, including chopping, slicing, sautéing, grilling, etc.
- Food handling: Ability to safely handle raw ingredients, including meats, seafood, fruits, and vegetables
- Food preparation: Experience in preparing ingredients for cooking or serving
- Help: Willingness to assist other team members as needed in various tasks
- Restaurant: Understanding of restaurant operations and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Meal preparation: Ability to follow recipes and portion ingredients for meal assembly
