Production Operator

**About the Role**:
The Production Operators will operate various pieces of equipment, complete batch processing or operate Powered Industrial vehicle to support multiple production lines across several technologies. Will work as a member of a team which may rotate job assignments and shifts as needed. Production Operators will work to ensure plant production is safely met utilizing the most efficient means resulting in high quality products.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Train on, operate and mechanically or systematically intervene with various types of low-tech and high-tech equipment including filling, labeling, packaging and palletizing equipment.
- Prepare and complete accurate systems records.
- Adhere to standard processes and help to determine appropriate actions whenever direct or indirect intervention is required on equipment settings and resolution of equipment malfunctions.
- Lead and facilitate problem solving and loss teams.
- Build technical capability to clean, inspect and lubricate equipment; identify/fix abnormalities; and perform AM (autonomous maintenance) / PM (planned maintenance) work on equipment; as well as setting centerlines.
- Demonstrate flexibility to move throughout various functions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to all production lines, material handling/warehouse and processing.
- Follow all safety rules and guidelines and participate in driving safety culture.
- Assure quality products are being produced and utilize various tools, testing and auditing systems to document that the product meets or exceeds the quality standards established in the point of use document.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently as well as with a high level of interaction in both small and large and group situations and will be required to participate constructively in team meetings, decision making and with the performance appraisal process.
- Demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn and teach others.
- Take ownership for various aspects of their lines.

**Required Experience You'll Bring**:

- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Employees be available to and willing to work all shifts including nights and afternoons and continental shifts as required.

**Preferred Experiences and Skills**:

- Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity
- Demonstrated strength in problem solving and troubleshooting
- Demonstrate basic math and measurement skills
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility to work within teams and independently with mínimal supervision to meet operational goals
- Must be process oriented and demonstrate critical thinking skil
- 1-3 years’ experience in Manufacturing
- Experience within a Lean Manufacturing Environment
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving and troubleshooting
- GMP experience an asset

**Job Requirements**:

- Employees must be able to demonstrate ability to complete the essential functions of the job and tolerate the ergonomic stressors of the job. This includes lifting up to 40 pounds, standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, reaching overhead, pushing, and pulling for up to 8 to 12 hours daily,
