Sirius Controls is a progressive and rapidly growing company that is well positioned in the manufacturing industry. We are looking to add a self-motivated and capable member to join our team. We have an immediate full-time opening for a Supply Chain Specialist in our Edmonton facility.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods.
- Source new products and replacement parts.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels for operations and adjust re-order points to suite business requirements.
- Obtain materials, components and equipment as required by the production schedule.
- Identify areas of cost reductions.
- Enforce quality requirements on vendors.
- Negotiate best price and administer purchase with vendors.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Forecast future product requirements.
- Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs.
- Submit the purchase orders to the Vendors.
- Confirm ETA’s on weekly basis.

**Requirements**:

- 3 to 4 years purchasing experience required.
- Experience with strategic supply-chain activities such as supply planning, sourcing, contracts, and supplier performance management.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, complex problem-solving skills.
- Organized, self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a team.
- Excellent computer skills, able to use Microsoft Office and inventory software’s.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to use solid judgement and decision-making skills.
- Supply Chain related Diploma, Certificate or Degree.
