At this time, SENER has an opening for a Senior Electrical Design Lead to join us in our Toronto office (hybrid) with visits to an east end project office on a as needed basis.

**Responsibilities**

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate the activities of the electrical design team
  • Interface with client and stakeholders to agree on the best design solution for the Project
  • Coordinate design activities with other engineering disciplines and project team members.
  • Ensure project schedules are maintained

Technical Expertise

  • Define basis of design and provide technical criteria to the electrical design (power distribution, lighting, grounding, and bonding, lightning protection, etc.)
  • Prepare conceptual and detailed engineering designs for electrical systems in railway and transit projects (stations, EEBs, tunnel, etc.)
  • Review documents and drawings produced by rest of electrical team
  • Strong knowledge of relevant standards (CSA, OBC, NFPA and IEEE)

Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer in Ontario (P. Eng)
  • 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, performing design of railway and transit projects

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and components
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
