Steelcon group of companies has an opening for **Painters **at our Brampton location.

**As a painter you will contribute to our team by**:

- Prepare material prior to paint.
- Remove excess paint, rust, and unwanted materials from metal parts.
- Set up, operate, and perform basic maintenance on sandblasters that meet company standards and customer expectations.
- Monitor performance of equipment - identify and communicate to management any equipment and/or paint quality issues as they arise.
- Masks specified areas of components to protect machined surfaces.
- Clean and maintain painting, coating, and personal protective equipment.
- Select the appropriate paint or mix paints according to a pre-determined formula.
- Manually blasts parts to specification required.
- Examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Operate overhead cranes to move raw and finished material for paint.
- Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices.
- Other duties as required.

**What you will bring to this role**:

- 1+ years experience in sandblasting, prepping, and painting.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Overhead crane experience an asset.
- Must have attention to detail.
